Amato gives eight to ten talks annually. The majority this Fall and next Spring will be devoted to the promotion of Buffalo Man. As an energetic teacher of decades, I take great pleasure in speaking—evoking and entertaining.
With telling illustrations, vivid anecdotes, poetic lines (homespun), and ample room for discussion. I seek to evoke subjects from their surfaces to their depths.
A recent example of a talk, with a podcast, "Paths and Roads to Becoming French and a Book-Loving Métis," for the Alliance Française and the French American Society, Feb. 24, 2017, can be found at http://afmsp.org/events/joe-amato/ ; for the entire talk, click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbEhnA6Tpug&feature=youtu.be
